Texting In The Rain

I’m texting in the rain,
Just texting in the rain,
What a glorious feeling,
I’m texting  again…

  1. Love this! I was walking from work yesterday trying to note how many people I passed that were posed in “the stance” (head angled down, staring at their device). The results were overwhelming. At this rate direct face to face verbal communication should be extinct in short order.

  2. Thanks… I see the end of face-to-face contact, and the face being hidden – in this picture also.

It’s nice to just be able to get out again without all the technical hdr stuff I was working my way through. Useful as it is – they are usually not meaningful shots… though they can be very haunting… beautiful etc.

  3. I tend to agree, although i think hdr has its place depending on the subject material. The question of whether it’s ‘meaningful’ or not is a relative one depending on the individual perspective(s) of the viewer(s). But I think I catch your drift in this sense: what is the image ‘saying’ (an exercise in digital effect is not comparable to a ‘moment’ of human interaction, etc.). Stripping away the artifice that is often imposed by the medium and just concentrating on the subject at hand is often ultimately more gratifying, emotionally, spiritually and otherwise.
