  1. Thanks Phil. Do you readers think that I should leave comments open or closed.

Or to put it another way – anyone like to volunteer to moderate the comments? I’m sort of afraid they’re just going to be filled with questions; and/or people looking to find fault with what I’ve written (which anyone can) but which I’m not going to have the time to respond to. This is now my third live website.

  2. I’m happy to help if you think that would be useful. People do like to comment but I could see how you wouldn’t want to turn it into an ongoing debate

  3. I’d apply for the job of your ghost blogger, but after a few days you’d have no one reading your blog. I hold the WordPress record for the least number of comments on a blog. The last comment I had on my blog was four months ago by a guy in Uzbekistan who threatened me for trying to steal his chickens.

  4. The questions you receive may be useful, since you could reply to them with future lessons, and thus deliver what people seem to want.

Reading through the posts so far I wonder if the articles could also be published in book form. Sort of “Begin With Beckerman”, or “David Beckerman’s Masterclass”, (to crib two somewhat pretentious titles from David Bailey).

As for moderation, yes in all things, especially as one gets older 🙂

  5. Stephen – don’t get me wrong. I have nothing against taking questions. But if the site becomes popular it will be too much trouble. As it is I only answer about half the email I get from photographers.

The idea was to just have a moderator that I trust look at the stuff first and trash useless comments.

Well, one thing I can tell you for sure is that I could make an ebook in no time at all (so maybe that wasn’t a total waste of time).
