It was sort of scary to think about how long this photography thing has been an obsession. It’s the only obsession that has never really died. It hides for a while, but it always seems to come back again.
Anyway, here’s some of the stuff that you can’t get from the small jpg.
“Top cop aide quits in tears” John Miller (Remember him? Used to be a reporter. Infiltrated the mafia…)
“O.J. urges his lawyer to put Nicole’s sister on the rack!”
“Commish now at odds with Mayor”
“Budget crisis grips city”
“Prosecutors want death penalty for mom who drowned tots” – The Susan Smith saga
“49’s end cowboys reign”
“Subway victim: Leary through firebomb at me” (just a typical day on the subway)
“Basking in Oscar’s glow…”
Movie ads for “Quiz Show” “Jerky Boys” “Little Women”
So the Oscars were over. The city was in dire financial shape. The stock market was doing well. The superbowl had just been played. There was a big quake in Japan on the 17th. And there must have been snow a day or two before because you’ve got that black snow slush in upper left corner.
